The Oak Swing Garden
Starting with a largely open lawn, we designed and built a garden around the way the family wanted to use it. The brief was to bring together beautiful planting, space to relax, and room for a swing and trampoline, with functionality at the heart of every decision.
The bespoke double oak swing became the centrepiece of the design. Made especially for this garden, its natural timber and simple proportions give it a presence of its own, creating a focal point that is both beautiful and made to be enjoyed.
Binding gravel paths and warm corten edges lead you through lush, English cottage-style planting that shifts with the light from morning to evening. To keep the lawn open for play, we tucked an in-ground trampoline right into the grass.
Along the back boundary, a curved sleeper wall frames a raised planting bed, while a hidden irrigation system keeps everything thriving effortlessly. It’s a space full of life, comfort, and everyday magic that will only get better as it grows.
